Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced SR. IT Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise wireless networks across SpaceX sites supporting rocket and spacecraft programs.

You will lead access point design, perform wireless surveys, troubleshoot, and maintain documentation while collaborating with the network infrastructure team. Relevant Cisco DNA Center, Ekahau, and CCNA/CCIE certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field; 5+ years network engineering, or 7+ years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Design access point placements for new wireless network deployments.
• Work closely with the network infrastructure team to ensure access points are deployed to standards.
• Perform wireless surveys to identify coverage gaps/performance concerns and implement remediation efforts.
• Troubleshoot wireless issues across a large enterprise deployment.
• Schedule and perform software and hardware updates.
• Procure and manage wireless hardware inventory.
• Monitor wireless network health using in-house and 3rd party tools.
• Create and maintain proper documentation of our wireless networks across all sites.
