Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Sr. IT Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage SpaceX’s wireless networks across multiple sites supporting aerospace activities.

The role emphasizes designing, building, and troubleshooting wireless networks in a fast-paced high-tech environment. The successful candidate will document work, communicate effectively, and collaborate with the network engineering team to ensure high availability and performance of wireless services across the SpaceX

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related engineering discipline with 5+ years of professional network engineering experience; or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design access point placements for new wireless deployments.
• Collaborate with network infrastructure team to deploy access points per standards.
• Perform wireless surveys to identify coverage gaps and remediation.
• Troubleshoot wireless issues across large enterprise deployment.
• Schedule and perform software and hardware updates.
• Procure and manage wireless hardware inventory.
• Monitor wireless network health using in-house and 3rd party tools.
• Create and maintain documentation across sites.
