Sun Communities, Inc. in Southfield, MI seeks a Senior Systems Manager to lead strategy, delivery, and governance for an enterprise portfolio. You will mentor staff, shape multi-year roadmaps, and ensure security, compliance, and total cost of ownership are managed effectively.

You will partner with business leaders to influence design decisions, drive operational excellence, and deliver strategic technology initiatives across the organization.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field (Required).
• 7 years in experience in enterprise systems management, including design, implementation, and maintenance (Required).
• 5 years in experience in product ownership, system administration, or system support (Required).
• 2 years in experience mentoring technical staff, influencing peers, or leading vendor delivery teams (Required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with executive-level judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
• Deep knowledge of IT security principles, ITGC, SOX compliance, access controls, and data protection.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Defines and owns the multi-year strategic roadmap for a portfolio in partnership with IT leadership.
• Shapes system vision with senior business leaders and secures enterprise-wide buy-in.
• Provides technical leadership and mentorship to staff and partners; supports knowledge sharing.
• Owns availability, performance, security, and compliance posture of assigned systems; escalates major incidents.
• Leads complex, cross-system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
• Directs system assessments, security audits, and risk reviews; defines remediation plans.
• Demonstrates cross-functional understanding of business processes and enterprise architecture.
• Develops governance standards and guardrails for documentation, change control, and support.
• Oversees acquisition, disposition, and conversion of systems; drives rationalization.
• Manages vendor relationships and ensures SLAs and roadmaps are met.
• Maintains authoritative system records and renewal calendars; supports auditors.
• Evaluates emerging technologies (AI, automation, cloud-native) and builds business cases.
• Partners with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Info Security on compliant solutions.
• Ensures IT controls design and operation; acts as contact for SOX audits.
• Contributes to Innovation & Technology discussions on enterprise governance forums.
• Other tasks as assigned.
