Job summary

City of Renton is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to lead Enterprise Business applications, including ERP and document management systems. The role demands hands-on SQL Server, ETL, reporting, and integration work, with a focus on reliability and cloud migration readiness.

You’ll partner with Business Systems Analysts to drive improvements while ensuring security, performance, and cross-team collaboration in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in web server administration, database, scripting programming, SQL, systems design, implementation or administration.
• Two years project management experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• As subject matter expert, provide technical support and maintenance to systems as directed or escalated from other IT teams.
• Maintain, administer and service Enterprise Business applications and related software and integrations including troubleshooting, migrating, scheduling, testing and patching, configuring, monitoring, training, updating and upgrading on servers and client computers.
• Plan, implement and upgrade technologies through all phases of the software life cycle including analyzing, architecting, designing, testing, installing, configuring, training end users, creating documentation, outlining future growth plan and auditing results.
• Perform database administration; install, configure and update database systems; monitor and maintain database system performance; manage backup plans and systems security.
• Act as project manager on multiple concurrent technical projects; manage teams across functional, departmental and organizational boundaries.
• Coordinate, develop and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; monitor and control project scope, schedule, costs and quality.
