Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Storage Architect to lead the architecture and lifecycle management of enterprise storage services, including File, Block, Object, and Data Protection platforms. You will influence storage strategy, ensure security and resiliency, and guide cloud adoption roadmaps.

The role requires deep technical expertise, leadership across infrastructure domains, and collaboration with product managers and vendors to shape technology roadmaps and architecture governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure, storage engineering or storage architecture.
• 5+ years designing and architecting enterprise storage solutions.
• Deep expertise in NAS/SAN/Object Storage and backup architectures.

Responsibilities

• Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions.
• Define architecture roadmaps across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and provide options to resolve impediments.
• Lead design of complex architectures and ensure modular, flexible solutions.
• Educate team members on best practices and technology standards.
• Support technology stack selections for solutions and vendors.
• Perform design and code reviews to meet non-functional requirements.
• Lead as architect for midrange storage services (File/NAS, Block, Object, Data Protection).
• Create storage blueprints, reference architectures and product lifecycle strategies.
• Define future-state architectures and transition plans for storage and data protection.
