Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Chief Engineer with strong leadership to own high-priority technology initiatives across storage and data protection. You will guide enterprise storage architecture, NAS platforms, and DR capabilities, coordinating with infrastructure, security, and application teams.

The role requires deep expertise in Dell PowerMax, NetApp, and data protection technologies, with a focus on resilience and scalable design for enterprise operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, engineering, computer science, mathematics, any science, or equivalent work experience
• Eight or more years of experience in delivering software-based solutions
• Advanced knowledge of storage architectures and enterprise data protection
• Experience leading large-scale storage and data protection initiatives
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership and strategic direction for Enterprise Storage Architecture, SAN Infrastructure, NAS Platforms, and Data Protection Technologies.
• Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, engineering roadmaps, and technology strategies for storage and data protection platforms.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale Dell PowerMax, NetApp, and related enterprise storage environments.
• Provide architectural leadership for Brocade and Cisco SAN Fabric infrastructure.
• Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point for complex storage, SAN, replication, backup, and disaster recovery issues.
• Drive storage platform lifecycle management, modernization initiatives, hardware refresh programs, and strategic migrations.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, operations, cloud, and applications teams to ensure recovery readiness and business continuity.
• Establish engineering standards, governance processes, and long-term viability of storage platforms.
