Job summary

cb5 Solutions LLC seeks an Enterprise Solutions Architect to own the technical design of a greenfield hybrid multi-cloud program for DoD. You will lead architecture across Azure, AWS and on‑premises VMware Cloud Foundation, ensuring enforceable decisions and cross‑vendor coherence.

You will guide Identity, Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Data teams, enforce Zero Trust, and translate government requirements into actionable engineering plans. Onsite work in CO/AL/DC region with <10% travel.

Qualifications

15+ years in enterprise IT engineering.
8+ years in architect/lead roles on large modernization programs.
Own reference architecture across multi-cloud and on-premises.
Experience with DoD or federal cybersecurity requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Own the program reference architecture across Azure, AWS and on‑premises platforms.
Own the design decision record with rationale and impact.
Serve as working technical counterpart to the customer’s lead architect.
Provide technical direction to Identity, Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Data teams.
Arbitrate across workstreams, platforms and vendors.
Set engineering standards and design review practices.
Own cross‑platform integration.
Ensure Zero Trust and DoD cybersecurity baked into architecture.
Engage vendors and assess designs for fit.
Represent architecture to senior government leadership.
