The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Engineering Specialist for Signal & Image Processing and Modeling & Simulation Engineering. This onsite role spans Huntsville and other locations, requiring TS/SCI clearance, strong Python/C++ skills, and leadership in engineering analyses.

You will translate customer needs into advanced simulations, develop new modeling capabilities, and present results to program offices, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or closely related technical field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible professional engineering/scientific experience.
• Technical understanding of space operations, red vs blue simulations, and C2.
• Demonstrated strength in sensor- and architecture-level simulations and mission performance assessments.
• Advanced experience with Python and C++.
• Strong creativity, initiative, and self-motivation.
• Ability to work on dynamic assignments and adapt to changing customer expectations.
• Collaborative skills for cross-organizational integration and customer engagement.

Responsabilités

• Work closely with cross-mission program offices and customers to translate needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks.
• Develop modeling capabilities through targeted software development.
• Prepare, execute, and analyze enterprise-level simulations of kill chains and related systems.
• Represent CMED as a technical authority in your areas of expertise.
• Independently lead and contribute to technical analysis projects for timely deliveries.
• Apply expertise in understanding and modeling enterprise-level missions.
• Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a knowledge-sharing environment.
