Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an experienced Engineering Specialist focusing on Signal & Image Processing and Modeling & Simulation Engineering. You will serve as a technical authority, translate customer needs into robust MS&A solutions, and collaborate across CMED to support national space programs.

You will work on dynamic, multi-disciplinary projects requiring Python/C++, AF SIM, and strong communication as you mentor teammates and engage with program offices and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible professional engineering/scientific experience in multi-disciplinary systems engineering or program management.
• Technical understanding of space operations, red vs blue simulations, military utility, killchain effectiveness, C2.
• Experience with multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques (EO/IR, RF, RADAR) for detection, tracking, and characterization.
• Proficiency with AF SIM (AFSIM).
• Experience with Python and/or C++.
• Ability to work on dynamic assignments and evolving customer needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Current Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Represent CMED as a technical authority in your area of expertise.
• Translate program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis solutions with cross-mission offices and customers.
• Plan and contribute to technical analysis projects independently.
• Model and analyze enterprise-level integrated missions.
• Develop and deliver presentations and reports.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a learning environment.
