Job summary

Branch is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engineer to join our Data team. You will architect and build interconnected systems, including MCP servers, internal APIs, and lightweight web apps, with a focus on reliability and maintainability.

You will own complex projects end-to-end, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, well-documented solutions and robust automated workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python engineering experience.
• 3+ years designing and building APIs (FastAPI or Flask).
• 3+ years full-stack Python development.
• Experience building or working with MCP servers.
• Experience with Deterministic LLM programming (LangChain, UserPromptSubmit, PostToolUse).
• Familiarity with OLTP databases and caching technologies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proven ability to own the full lifecycle of a project.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain MCP servers exposing data platform capabilities to internal tools.
• Create internal APIs to enrich resources accessible programmatically.
• Develop lightweight web apps and dashboards using Streamlit.
• Build stateful applications ensuring SOP compliance.
• Develop and manage automated workflows and pipelines in Python.
• Leverage SDLC to convert macro tools into standalone services and low-code workflows.
• Define coding standards for interacting with AI agents across Branch.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Branch to scope and deliver solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented code and maintain technical quality.
