Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. is seeking a Senior Enterprise Data Governance Manager to lead the Data Governance program within the Enterprise Data Protection team.

You will govern data across its lifecycle and drive AI data governance, data masking in lower environments, and destruction aligned to records policies. You will identify and implement automation tools, establish KPIs, and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment, prioritization, and successful delivery of strategic

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data protection, governance, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and associated security risks.
• Experience with data discovery, masking, archive and destruction tools.
• Knowledge of MS Purview, Informatica, Varonis.
• Demonstrated understanding of program/project management principles, tools and techniques.
• Experience managing individuals and teams.
• Experience in change management.
• Knowledge of cloud governance across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise data governance strategy, policies, standards, and operating mode in alignment with overall Data Protection strategy.
• Define and implement AI Security Controls & Governance across the organization.
• Identify opportunities and implement tools to automate execution, monitoring, and reporting for the program.
• Establish governance councils, stewardship programs, and accountability frameworks across business and technology.
• Oversee execution of large, complex Data Destruction projects and manage budget and resources.
• Lead program team, communicate status to executives, and coordinate across Systems and the broader organization.
