DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer, Enterprise Architecture to set future-state technology direction in a hybrid role based in Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, IN.

The role leads a small architecture team and partners with business leaders, security, data, and engineering to translate needs into practical solutions. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture, strong cloud and API knowledge, and experience guiding build-versus-buy decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in solution or enterprise architecture and related disciplines.
• Experience leading architecture for cross-functional initiatives with multiple systems and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, APIs, security, data, and modern software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define current-state, future-state, and transition architectures with governance and standards.
• Lead architecture discussions with stakeholders, engineers, data, and vendors.
• Guide build-versus-buy evaluations and third-party solutions for enterprise fit.
• Provide AI-enabled architecture leadership including generative AI and automation.
• Mentor a small team of architects and engineers while contributing to high-impact work.
• Communicate direction and risks to executives and teams.
