DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer, Enterprise Architecture to shape our future-state technology architecture and ensure alignment with business strategy.

The role leads a small architecture team and acts as a hands-on contributor to high-impact designs. You will partner with senior business and IT leaders, security, data, and vendors to translate needs into practical options, establish governance, and direct build-versus-buy decisions while advancing AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, software engineering, systems design, platform architecture, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading enterprise or solution architecture for complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain current-state and future-state architecture, standards, reference patterns, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with business leaders to translate goals into practical technology plans.
• Lead architecture reviews, governance, and risk management across initiatives.
• Oversee build-versus-buy evaluations and evaluate third-party solutions.
• Provide architecture leadership for AI-enabled solutions, including generative AI and automation.
• Mentor a small team of architects and senior engineers while delivering high-impact outcomes.
