Job summary

The College of Charleston is seeking a Senior Applications Administrator to provide technical ownership and support for enterprise applications across on‑premises, hybrid, and vendor‑managed SaaS environments. Expect configuration, upgrades, and detailed documentation to promote system reliability and collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders.

This on‑ campus, full‑time role in Charleston, SC requires flexibility for occasional nights and on‑call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Activity Serves as technical subject matter expert and provides technical ownership and operational support for a diverse portfolio of enterprise software applications, ranging from high‑touch legacy systems to vendor‑managed SaaS platforms.
• Administers and configures assigned applications to support reliable, secure, and effective operations.
• Coordinates with functional leads, business stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex application, integration, and business process issues, including root‑cause analysis of recurring problems.
• Partners with functional administrators to enable appropriate self‑service capabilities, establish security and access‑control guardrails, and identify opportunities to automate and improve business processes.
• Implements, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots application integrations, including APIs, middleware, and ETL / ELT pipelines.
• Manages and documents operational work through the College's IT service management system and develops and maintains technical and knowledge base documentation to support troubleshooting, cross‑training, knowledge transfer, and end‑user support.
