Job summary

Charles River in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and architecture for lab software systems. The role is on-site Mon-Fri and focuses on C#, .NET, and React.js with PostgreSQL, delivering scalable solutions for internal and customer projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on development, experience transforming complex systems into components, and familiarity with regulated environments and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5 years of extensive programming experience with .NET/ASP.NET, C#, Python and GIT.
• Ability to translate complex systems into sub-components and optimize design.
• Experience in a regulated software development environment is desirable.
• Experience with cloud programming like Azure/AWS is desirable.
• Azure DevOps experience for CI/CD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software that controls and automates laboratory devices.
• Conduct and participate in design, code, and test reviews.
• Participate in all phases of existing/new software development lifecycle.
• Prepare documentation per internal product development processes and regulatory agencies (FDA and ISO).
