Job summary

Town of Mount Pleasant in South Carolina seeks an Applications Manager to lead the implementation, administration, support, security, and continuous improvement of the town's enterprise and business applications.

The role collaborates with departments, vendors, and IT staff to translate business needs into reliable technology solutions; manage projects, upgrades, and releases; maintain documentation; and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Three (3) years of progressive experience in enterprise application administration, support, or management.
• Experience coordinating projects, releases, vendors, and business requirements.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle management of mission-critical applications, including upgrades, support, and retirement.
• Monitor availability, performance, security, and implement preventive improvements.
• Coordinate production changes, testing, release scheduling, and change-management activities.
• Develop user documentation and provide training for new or updated applications.
• Collaborate with vendors, business owners, and IT staff to ensure reliable operation.
