Job summary

The Town of Mount Pleasant is seeking an Applications Manager to lead the implementation, administration, security, and continuous improvement of its enterprise and business applications. You will collaborate with Town departments, vendors, and IT staff to translate business needs into reliable technology solutions and manage projects, upgrades, and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise application administration, support, implementation, or management.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end management of enterprise and vendor-supported applications including upgrades, maintenance, and retirement.
Monitor performance, security, and availability; coordinate outages and preventive improvements.
Lead projects and releases with cross-functional teams; manage scope, schedules, risks, and communications.
Develop documentation, support procedures, and knowledge resources; ensure effective stakeholder communication.
Partner with business owners to analyze processes, gather requirements, and propose practical enhancements.
Design, test, deploy, and support application enhancements, reports, workflows, and integrations.
