Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Photon gives patients true ownership of their prescriptions. Our platform enables clinicians to send prescriptions directly to patients via text, allowing them to choose their preferred pharmacy based on cost, convenience, and availability. We are transforming the pharmacy experience — making it more transparent, flexible, and patient-centered.

Backed by $16M in Series A funding, we are expanding rapidly — and our fastest-growing segment is health systems. Over the next 18 months, we aim to prove that our 30% MoM growth can scale across large, complex organizations.

We’re hiring a full-cycle Account Executive focused on health systems. You’ll own the sales process from lead to close — targeting hospital systems, academic medical centers, and large integrated delivery networks (IDNs). This is a strategic role designed for a self-starter who thrives in complex sales environments and can navigate multi-stakeholder deals.

You’ll report directly to the CRO and play a key role in building the enterprise motion from the ground up. We're a fast-moving startup, so you'll need to be comfortable operating with minimal structure, iterating quickly, and working closely with sales, product, and operations teams to deliver results.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Enterprise Sales: Own the full sales cycle — prospecting, stakeholder engagement, contracting, and closing health system deals
  • Pipeline Generation: Work in tandem with SDRs to target C-suite, innovation, pharmacy, and digital health decision-makers within hospital systems
  • Selling the Value Prop: Understand each health system’s tech stack (especially Epic) and workflow challenges — and clearly articulate how Photon improves efficiency, access, and patient satisfaction
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with Product and Ops to shape onboarding and rollout for health system customers
  • Solution Selling: Tailor value-based pitches that speak to operational, clinical, and financial ROI
  • Negotiation & Contracting: Navigate long sales cycles and internal legal/procurement processes
  • Industry Engagement: Represent Photon at key conferences, innovation summits, and roundtables
  • Feedback Loop: Be the voice of the health system customer internally to help us evolve our product and GTM strategy

What Experience & Skills Should You Have?

  • Proven track record of closing new business with health systems or hospital/enterprise healthcare organizations
  • Excellent understanding of how health systems buy software — especially in pharmacy, clinical ops, or digital front door settings
  • Confident engaging hospital leadership across roles: CIO, CMIO, CPO, VP of Pharmacy, Innovation Leads, etc.
  • Self-sufficient pipeline builder with deep outbound sales skills (cold outreach, email, conferences, etc.)
  • Exceptional communicator — clear, thoughtful, and persuasive across functions
  • Startup-minded — comfortable in ambiguity and hungry to own a critical vertical
  • Experience with tools like Notion, Apollo, and Hubspot is a plus
  • Located in the NYC metro area and able to work from our Williamsburg office 3+ days/week is a plus, but not a hard requirement. We are open to hiring remotely for this role.

The estimated starting annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 USD. Total compensation includes uncapped commission and meaningful equity. As an early-stage company, we offer high upside potential tied to Photon’s success.
