Job summary

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, is seeking an Engineering Technician Level IV in Norfolk, VA. You will support the MSC Engineering Department's Technical Documentation Branch by managing engineering records, digitizing manuals, and maintaining the VTL repository for the MSC fleet.

The role involves preparing and distributing technical documents, coordinating with regulators like USCG and ABS, and supporting ship availabilities with accurate data and drawings according to MSC CAD

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 8 years' experience with maintenance management, ship operations, manufacturing plant operations, or power plant operations.
• 5 years' experience using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
• 3 years' experience using SAMM VTL applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and technical records, including filing, organizing, and redistributing documentation within the MSC library space.
• Support day-to-day operations by handling calls, emails, inquiries, and messages.
• Maintain regulatory approval documentation from USCG, ABS, and other bodies; retrieve drawings, letters, certifications, and related docs.
