Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Highway Design, seeks an Engineering Technician V for a full-time role at 7 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH. The position provides technical guidance and training in CAD/D, reviews plans, and supports highway project development.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in engineering or related field and seven years of engineering experience with licensure and travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, landscape architecture, forestry, horticulture, environmental studies, agronomy, geology, soil science or earth science.
• Minimum seven years of engineering experience, two years at a level equivalent to Engineering Technician IV.
• Driver’s license and transportation for statewide travel.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and mentors team members in plans, specs, and estimates.
• Trains and instructs in CAD/D applications to support project development.
• Monitors project activities to support schedules and timely completion of work.
• Coordinates information with other bureaus, agencies, and utilities.
• Compiles reports and documentation to support project development and maintain files.
• Reviews plans, specifications, estimates for accuracy and conformance with state/federal standards.
