Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior manufacturing engineer to lead engineering services, design tooling, and drive process validation from concept through production in a regulated environment.

You will partner with customers, engineering, operations and external vendors to deliver innovative manufacturing solutions, support concept development, and ensure successful project execution across tooling and equipment development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical, or related engineering.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with progression in responsibility.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, including process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and change control.
• Demonstrated experience with new product introductions, product transfers, and product launches.
• Hands-on experience developing manufacturing processes; tooling/process design preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with process flows, time studies, quoting, and tracking equipment budgets preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering services, design applications, and project execution to support customer and business goals.
• Provide design direction for tooling and equipment drawings and review tooling designs with customers.
• Lead NPI, product transfers, and launches from concept to production.
• Develop manufacturing processes, including process flows and time studies.
• Plan inspections for tooling, fixtures, and equipment and coordinate with vendors.
• Ensure equipment assemblies meet specifications and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, engineering, and operations to resolve production issues.
