Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing/Engineering Manager to lead engineering services, design applications, and technical project execution in Chicopee, MA.

You will guide tooling and equipment design, validation, and NPI efforts to deliver innovative manufacturing solutions. The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing engineering and at least 1 year in a leadership capacity, with experience in regulated environments and IQ/OQ/PQ validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical, or related engineering.
• 8+ years manufacturing engineering with progression in responsibility.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment with IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Demonstrated experience with new product introductions, transfers, and launches.
• Hands-on experience developing manufacturing processes; tooling/process design preferred.
• SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Epicor and MS Office skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on approach to solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering guidance to engineers, technicians, CAD, and maintenance personnel.
• Direct tooling and equipment design drawings and development.
• Lead tooling/fixtures/products for R&D and production.
• Identify and engage vendors to complete projects and manage budgets.
• Coordinate inspections for tooling and equipment.
• Lead NPI, transfers, and product launches from concept to production.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) and risk assessments.
• Maintain engineering standards and documentation.
