Job summary

UFP MedTech in Chicopee, MA is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to support the Advanced Engineering team in developing and integrating medical products from concept through transfer to manufacturing. You will work with design, testing and manufacturing to ensure products meet customer requirements and are manufacturable, with hands-on CAD support using SolidWorks and other tools.

This full-time on-site role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and up to 2 years of design or applications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
2 years or less of experience in design or applications engineering (excluding internships).
Medical device environment experience desired.
Hands-on experience in the use of CAD tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Excellent team skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering, sales, manufacturing and customers to complete tasks.
Define problems with customers and translate into product specs and development plans.
Participate in meetings with customers to update on progress.
Provide hands-on design support using SolidWorks, CAD and statistics to meet requirements.
Set up and run samples for new product approvals.
Test materials and designs via screening tests.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality and other resources to meet objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
