Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the development and integration of medical product solutions. You will work directly with customers to define problems, develop specifications, and guide products from rapid prototype to production transfer.

The role calls for hands-on CAD skills (SolidWorks, CAD) and collaboration across manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to meet budgets and schedules while driving growth in the medical device sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 1–3 years of experience in design or applications engineering; customer interfacing preferred.
• Hands-on CAD tools experience required.
• Medical device environment experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical point-of-contact with customers; define problems and develop product specifications.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with customers on new product development.
• Provide hands-on design support using SolidWorks, CAD and statistical tools.
• Collaborate with account and sales management to secure new product and product innovations revenue.
• Manage cross-functional teams and conduct design review meetings with customers.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, production and internal resources to meet objectives.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules; forecast completion and mitigate threats.
