Job summary

UFP Technologies is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive manufacturing engineering, tooling development, and process improvements in a regulated environment. The role involves overseeing design, validation, and new product introductions, along with coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.

You will act as a senior technical resource across design, R&D, operations, and customers, ensuring on-time delivery and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Biomedical or related engineering field.
• 8+ years manufacturing engineering experience with progressive responsibility.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environment with IQ/OQ/PQ and change control.
• Experience with new product introductions, transfers and launches.
• Hands-on experience developing manufacturing processes for tooling and production.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering services, design applications, and project execution to meet customer and business goals.
• Guide tooling and fixture design, and collaborate with design engineers for R&D tooling.
• Manage projects with external vendors and internal teams, including timelines and deliverables.
• Oversee product transfers, launches, and manufacturing process development.
• Develop SOPs and optimize processes, equipment budgets, and floor layouts.
• Ensure compliance with IQ/OQ/PQ and change control and perform risk assessments.
