Job summary

North Wind Group is seeking an Engineering Project Manager V / Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects for federal clients. Location options include Las Vegas, NV or Colorado Springs, CO, with regular full-time scheduling and 0–25% travel.

You will manage scope, budget, and client relations while guiding multi-disciplinary design teams. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of project management experience, 5+ years in design, and licensure in PE or RA where applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field.
PE or RA registration is a plus and preferred.
15+ years project management experience.
Minimum 5 years of design experience.
Ability to manage multiple, large, complex projects independently.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and coordinate the project delivery team including designers, reviewers, and subconsultants.
Coordinate support actions from shared services functions (contracting, accounting, legal, HR, etc.).
Meet ethical standards for Professional Engineer or Architecture licensure.
Lead project meetings and client/stakeholder coordination; provide updates and solutions.
Develop trusted partner relationships with clients and pursue follow-on work.
Understand contract scope and manage changes to prevent scope creep.
Oversee production of design deliverables and interface with client for information.
Maintain project risk register and issue list; manage budget and invoicing.
