The role blends strong engineering foundations with project management, requiring collaboration with business development, sales, and marketing to address client needs. Travel up to 20% within the US and abroad may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
• 8+ years engineering and/or defense industry experience.
• 3+ years leading technical development projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Experience managing engineering teams through product development lifecycles.
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership across multiple projects from concept to delivery.
• Define scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans with resource allocation and budgets.
• Coordinate engineering tasks translating customer requirements into actionable work.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers supporting development.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
• Act as primary customer interface for assigned projects.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure quality standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
