Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions in Ashburn, VA seeks a Program Manager to lead rugged embedded computing and security processing programs. You will own schedules, costs, and multi-disciplinary teams while engaging with key defense customers.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 7+ years of relevant experience, and PM certifications. US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required. Competitive benefits and career growth await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering preferred (or equivalent).
• PgMP and PMP certifications highly desired.
• Minimum of 7 years related experience.
• Extensive background in strategic planning, competitive assessments, and bidding/acquisition of multi-million dollar contracts.
• Experience with Defense and Aerospace customers; principal point of contact to key customers.
• Management of annual multi-million dollar budgets.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate seniority by managing technical, multi-million dollar budgets and leading action-oriented teams in rugged embedded computing programs.
• Familiarity with complex integrated systems for Defense and Aerospace; hardware development, integration and test requirements.
• Owns schedule and cost management; leads kickoff meetings, baselines, and tracking metrics for performance.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams within a matrixed organization and coordinate with internal/external customers.
• Develop contingency plans for potential risk areas and deploy as needed to resolve problems.
• Maintain written records of agreements/commitments and coordinate proposal responses (RFPs and inquiries).
• Collaborate with Engineering and support teams to analyze proposals for cost/risk/quality; monitor subcontract costs and performance.
