Job summary

Marathon Petroleum’s Los Angeles Refinery in Carson, CA is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead multi-million Mid-Cap capital and expense projects from concept through completion, within budget and schedule.

You will manage scope, risk, and resources, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and report progress to stakeholders. Travel is limited and relocation may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (must be completed before start)
• 7+ years in project mgmt/engineering in refining, petrochemical or related oil & gas
• Strong planning and coordinating skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• US work authorization required; valid driver’s license
• Travel 5% or less

• Oversee all project phases from concept to completion
• Manage budget, schedule, and scope for mid-cap projects
• Lead cross-discipline teams and allocate tasks
• Communicate status to stakeholders and manage risk
