Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP's Louisiana Refining Division currently has a vacancy for an Area Team Engineer in the Engineering Department. We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual to provide project management and mechanical design services for a refinery process operations team and/or capital project team.

Projects include new capital projects and modifications needed to properly maintain and optimize existing operating units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is required.
• Two or more years of industry experience are required.
• Three or more years post-degree experience in refining or petrochemical preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manages project phases from development through start-up and budgeting.
• Develops scope, cost estimates, and schedules for projects.
• Prepares DSPs and presents to leadership.
• Collaborates with Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams.
• Ensures compliance with MOC, PSI, and mechanical integrity standards.
