Job summary

System One in Houston, TX, seeks a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead large-scale power projects from design through commissioning. This contract-to-hire role offers a hybrid work model and requires travel to job sites.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and quality, coordinate with overseas High Value Engineering offices, and serve as the primary client liaison to meet contractual requirements and foster new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• PE license highly preferred.
• 15–20 years of experience in power projects.
• 8–10 years in a Project Manager role.
• Willingness to travel and work in both office and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and direction for project staff, ensuring accountability for budget, schedule, and quality of deliverables.
• Lead mid-to-large capital power projects, TIC $100MM+ for combined cycle plants.
• Coordinate with overseas High Value Engineering offices and multidisciplinary teams globally.
• Monitor costs and productivity; manage ECNs to maintain profitability and scope integrity.
• Serve as primary client liaison to meet contractual requirements and foster new business opportunities.
• Recruit, train, and coach project personnel for staffing efficiency and technical excellence.
• Perform field walk-downs and data collection requiring travel to project sites.
