Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Principal Engineering Planning Analyst in Melbourne, Florida. The role supports the Product Support organization and the Support Equipment Engineering department, leading technical operations and projects in Engineering Management.

The position requires a Bachelor’s with experience (or a Master’s with fewer years) in Aerospace/Defense or Project Management, plus proficiency in MS Office and JIRA, and an active U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Aerospace or Defense or Project Management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft 365.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Active US Government Secret clearance (with BI within 6 years or Continuous Evaluation) and ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and coordinates plans and schedules.
• Monitors costs, budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Analyzes effects on Engineering, Facilities, and labor pool for resource optimization.
• Resolves proposal preparation problems and tracks progress against plans.
• Formulates corrective actions: schedule revisions, staffing, funding, and work requirements.
