Job summary

GameChanger is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Video Enablement team, owning end-to-end video capabilities from live streaming to post-game clips. You will collaborate with the video engineering director, engineers, and product managers to shape architecture, improve reliability, and scale across millions of streams.

You will hire and mentor engineers across mobile, backend, and infrastructure, maintaining a culture of ownership and craft while remaining hands-on when needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in video streaming and live streaming technologies.
• Proven leadership style; collaborates and mentors teams.
• Solid cloud architecture knowledge for scalable video infra (AWS).
• Strategic mindset and ability to influence product direction.
• Player-coach who stays hands-on when needed and guides others.
• Experience with Go, Rust, C#, Node/TypeScript, React, Kotlin, or Swift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute GC's video streaming roadmap with cross-functional teams.
• Lead the Video Enablement team in design, build, and support of core video capabilities.
• Continuously improve live and VOD streaming experiences using data and empathy.
• Hire, onboard, and grow a high-performing team while fostering ownership.
• Serve as a hands-on technical leader, mentoring senior engineers and review code.
• Partner with infrastructure to maintain a scalable, cost-efficient video pipeline in AWS.
• Enable product and computer vision teams via clear interfaces and documentation.
• Stay engaged during production incidents and contribute to postmortems.
