Job summary

GameChanger is seeking a fully-remote Staff Software Engineer/Architect to lead the expansion of our video capabilities and form our new Video Engineering team. You will own the video pipeline end to end, from ingestion to playback, and help scale millions of streams and hundreds of millions of highlight clips annually.

As a founding member, you’ll mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and collaborate with product and platform teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality video experiences

Qualifications

Strong background in video and audio streaming.
Experience architecting scalable video pipelines in cloud environments.
Proficiency in languages common in video stack (C#, Go, C++, Rust, Python).
Experience mentoring and leading software engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design and architect video features across the pipeline (ingestion, transcoding, storage, playback).
Influence technical roadmap and strategy for video capabilities.
Mentor and onboard new engineers within the video team.
Collaborate with mobile/web/ML/platform teams to deliver reliable video experiences.
