Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Test Systems & Tooling team to lead engineers building shared testing capabilities, environments, and tooling that enable Temporal to validate the platform under production-like conditions.

You will drive cross-team alignment, own measurable outcomes, and collaborate with Cloud/Infrastructure, Reliability, Release Engineering, and product teams to raise pre-production confidence and reduce escaped issues.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and developing a high-performing engineering team.
• Strong background building or operating reliable distributed systems.
• Track record delivering internal platforms/tooling adopted by many teams.
• Ability to define measurable outcomes and drive cross-team execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Test Systems & Tooling team, hiring and coaching engineers.
• Make production-like testing practical with realistic environments and workloads.
• Drive failure-mode validation across production failures and regional outages.
• Collaborate across org boundaries to turn production learnings into pre-production detection.
