Job summary

Illumia is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead a team of developers and QA engineers delivering scalable, high‑performing software on cloud‑native platforms. You will own production systems, reliability, and responsibility for incident management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development and platform engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or cross-functional team leadership.
• Strong .NET (C#) and distributed system expertise.
• Experience building and operating AWS-based applications.
• Deep understanding of reliability, production support, and incident management.
• Experience designing API-driven and integration-heavy systems.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of scalable services built with .NET (C#) and deployed in AWS.
• Drive modern engineering practices across cloud-native architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, system performance, and operational reliability.
• Own production health, uptime, and system reliability for supported applications.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
• Drive improvements in monitoring, alerting, and observability across systems.
• Guide system design and technical decisions aligned with architectural standards.
• Strengthen engineering ownership of system quality, reliability, and production outcomes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support deployments, integrations, and customer environments.
• Promote adoption of AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, system quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strong on-call practices and operational readiness across the team.
