Job summary

Illumio is seeking a Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering to lead a team building scalable cloud services across multi‑cloud environments. You will drive design, development, and delivery of cloud solutions with a focus on automation, observability, and operational excellence.

You will partner with Product Management to align development with business goals, implement rigorous coding standards, and guide the full SDLC from requirements through deployment and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in managing cloud engineers.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cloud engineering team developing distributed microservices for a multi-tenant, scalable platform.
• Oversee cloud service development with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
• Set up coding guidelines, participate in code and design reviews, and ensure high-quality automation and testing.
• Collaborate with Product Management to align development with business goals.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and operations.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, embracing best practices and new technologies.
• Ensure adherence to agile methodologies, managing sprints and delivery timelines.
