Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Global Transfer Flow to lead the engineers building the money transfer experience across mobile and web. You will drive a multi-year technical strategy, guiding a move to a shared configurable platform that supports diverse markets and later expands to additional products and channels.

You will hire and mentor engineers, own delivery and quarterly planning, and champion safe AI tooling to improve productivity while ensuring security and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with leadership experience.
• 5+ years hiring and managing engineering teams.
• Experience guiding architecture changes in large codebases.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• CS degree; master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and develop engineers; set clear expectations.
• Own the technical strategy and lead architecture changes across teams.
• Move from regional implementations to configurable workflows with backend services.
• Partner with infra and domain teams to build reusable components and tools.
• Improve reliability via monitoring, testing, and simulations.
• Collaborate with Product/Design/Analytics to set priorities and goals.
• Own delivery, staffing, and quarterly planning with partner teams.
• Champion responsible use of AI coding tools with proper validation.
