Job summary

Remitly is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer for the High Value Send Experience team in Seattle. You will build systems for high-value transfers, enabling trusted real estate, education, and investments across borders, spanning web, mobile, and backend services.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to translate goals into scalable solutions, mentor teammates, and shape a security-conscious, reliable platform as Remitly grows globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building customer-facing experiences at product scale with web and mobile tech.
• Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture for complex systems powering High Value Send.
• Ship reliable, observable, and scalable web, mobile, and backend services.
• Operate AI-native capabilities to automate and scale development.
• Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and partner engineering teams.
• Mentor teammates and promote best practices in coding and testing.
