Job summary

Verkada is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to scale an established team and balance new product builds with resilience. The role emphasizes reliability and high uptime for distributed financial systems, with Netsuite knowledge a bonus.

You will partner with product managers and GTM teams to drive initiatives and roadmap future capabilities. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software engineering with strong leadership, plus hands-on experience in Python or Go and backend development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineers
• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong Agile project management and delivery skills
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Experience with Python or Go and backend development
• Ability to spot gaps between process and tools

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and set technical vision for reliability, scalability, and availability of global infrastructure
• Manage cross-functional collaboration with orders, supply chain, finance, and GTM teams to drive initiatives
• Mentor engineers on architecture and latency considerations
• Collaborate with other orgs to build future roadmaps alongside evolving business processes
• Lead recruitment, mentoring, and leadership across the team
