Job summary

Verkada seeks a Senior Engineering Manager for Business Systems in San Mateo, CA to scale a trusted, enterprise-grade platform. You balance new product work with resilience, owning finance and ERP interfaces and collaborating with product managers and GTM teams.

You will mentor engineers on architecture and latency, drive cross-functional initiatives with orders, supply chain, and finance, and help shape a long-term roadmap for the business systems stack.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing and leading an engineering team.
• 10+ years software engineering with leadership responsibilities.
• BS/BA in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• Spot gaps between process and tools and close them.
• Strong Agile and project management skills.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Experience with Python or Go and backend development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and set technical vision for reliability and scalability of global infrastructure.
• Collaborate with orders, supply chain, finance and GTM teams to drive key initiatives.
• Mentor engineers on architecture choices and latency trade-offs.
• Partner with multiple orgs to build future roadmaps aligned with evolving business processes.
• Recruit, mentor and lead the team to sustain high performance.
