Job summary

IBM Software seeks a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Experience Foundations team, owning TEAR domains such as Security UI, Networking UI, and Billing UI, plus shared infrastructure. You will shape patterns and guide architecture across Governance, Flink, Kafka, Connect, Tableflow, and more.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with Product and Design, and drive adoption of AI-assisted tooling to deliver secure, scalable interfaces for IBM’s diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leading software engineering teams.
• Strong frontend engineering expertise (React, TypeScript).
• Ability to distill complex domains into patterns and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish reusable patterns for UI engineers working on Security, Networking, and Billing domains.
• Elevate impact of UI engineers across Governance, Flink, Kafka, Connect, Tableflow, and other products.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product and Design to drive execution.
• Drive evolution of Experience Foundations infrastructure to support the entire organization.
