Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Experience Foundations team, owning Security UI, Networking UI, and Billing UI, plus shared infrastructure. You will guide patterns, establish best practices, and help scale foundations to serve the entire Experience organization across API/CLI/TF/VSCode.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong frontend technical background with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to distill complex domains into patterns and best practices.
• Experience creating reusable patterns/frameworks adopted across teams.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers.
• Experience partnering with Product and Design to drive execution.
• Experience managing or collaborating with other engineering managers.
• Experience managing multiple product domains simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Establish reusable patterns and best practices for UI engineers building security and networking code.
• Elevate the impact of UI engineers across multiple product teams.
• Take a depth-first, hands-on approach to understanding systems and unblocking teams.
• Go deep in domain areas to make sound architectural decisions.
• Drive evolution of Experience Foundations infrastructure across the organization.
