Job summary

IBM Software seeks a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager for the Experience Foundations team. You will lead UI engineering across Governance, Flink, Kafka, Connect, and Tableflow, shaping patterns and infrastructure to enable secure, scalable networking and billing experiences.

You will mentor engineers, partner with Product and Design, and drive architectural decisions across multiple product domains, including security, networking, and billing interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Strong frontend engineering with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to distill complex domains into patterns and best practices.
• Experience partnering with Product and Design to drive execution.
• Experience managing or collaborating with other engineering managers.

Responsibilities

• Establish clear, reusable patterns and best practices for UI engineers working on Security, Networking, and Billing domains.
• Elevate the impact of UI engineers across Governance, Flink, Kafka, Connect, Tableflow.
• Lead depth-first, hands-on analysis to unblock teams and drive architecture.
• Guide the evolution of Experience Foundations to serve the entire organization.
