Job summary

Fidelity is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join Fidelity Institutional Technology, supporting FundsNetwork. You will lead and develop one or more engineering teams, partnering with product, business, and architecture leaders to align technology strategy with business objectives and deliver high-performing enterprise platforms.

You will drive delivery across web and API applications, champion Agile, DevOps, and secure coding practices, and oversee sprint planning, releases, and risk

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience delivering web and API applications.
• Strong Agile and DevOps practices knowledge.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and scalability.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop one or more engineering teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with product, business, and technology leaders to define strategy, priorities, and roadmaps.
• Drive design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performing applications across enterprise platforms.
• Ensure engineering best practices, quality standards, and secure coding principles are consistently applied.
• Oversee delivery execution, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to align solutions with enterprise standards and long-term technology strategy.
• Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs across initiatives.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and talent development to build a strong engineering organization.
