Job summary

Fidelity is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to architect and implement front-end solutions for large multi-application platforms. You will design advanced UI systems, reusable cross‑platform modules, and complex build/deploy strategies leveraging modern CI/CD pipelines and production observability tooling.

The role requires translating divisional initiatives into business solutions, mentoring junior staff, and guiding architecture decisions across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining customer facing Web applications using Java, Spring, Node.js, Angular, and JavaScript.
• Experience with RESTful Web services architecture using Spring framework.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and uDeploy; familiarity with testing tools such as Cucumber and Cypress.

Responsibilities

• Participates in architecture design teams and defines application-level architecture.
• Develops applications on complex projects and subsystems for the division.
• Ensures QA readiness and develops comprehensive documentation for applications.
• Plans project life cycles and coordinates schedules across multiple projects.
• Advises senior management on technical strategy and mentors junior members.
