Job summary

Render is seeking an Engineering Manager for Product Engineers to lead a team building the core developer experience of the Render platform. You’ll partner with product managers and designers to translate user needs into scalable systems that developers rely on daily.

You’ll guide technical direction, develop engineers, and ensure the team ships meaningful improvements quickly while upholding high standards that define Render’s platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as an engineer shipping products or features with business impact.
• 2+ years of experience managing people, mentoring engineers, and performance management.
• Strong technical background with system design, architecture, and engineering tradeoffs.
• Product-oriented mindset translating goals into roadmaps and shipped features.
• Ability to balance urgency with thoughtful execution while maintaining quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of product engineers with mentorship and technical guidance.
• Drive execution on product initiatives from ideation to launch with reliability and quality.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Engage in architectural discussions and tradeoffs to guide system design decisions.
• Foster ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering practices.
• Break down complex problems into incremental milestones delivering value quickly while enabling long-term evolution.
• Ensure the team understands developer experience and customer impact of features.
• Collaborate with product, customers, and internal teams to align priorities and deliver impactful features.
