Job summary

McDonald’s is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and operation of scalable .NET microservices for the Commerce Platform. Based in the United States, you will manage multiple teams in a cloud/Kubernetes environment and partner with Product, Architecture, SRE/DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver high-scale, reliable systems for global ordering, menu, and payments.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering leadership.
• Proven expertise in .NET/C#, microservices, and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of .NET-based microservices for a high-volume commerce platform.
• Drive cloud-native best practices including containerization, Kubernetes, API-first design.
• Ensure systems are scalable, observable, secure, and resilient.
• Mentor engineering teams and manage performance, hiring, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Product and Architecture to align roadmaps and KPIs.
