Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items.
• 10+ years of Java full-stack development experience with 3+ yrs of proven leadership.
• Expert-level proficiency in RESTful API design and Java 11+ with Spring Boot.
• Solid front-end skills with React and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Ability to guide teams toward strategic initiatives and responsible AI use.
• Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• Knowledge of services industry IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of software engineers.
• Accountable for decisions influencing resources, budget, and processes.
• Set and scale operating practices for enterprise AI-assisted engineering and automation.
• Apply SDLC toolchain concepts to drive efficiency and reuse of assets.
• Ensure collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate issues to execute the book of work and escalate as needed.
• Provide input to leadership on budget, approach, and technical considerations.
