Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering
• Coaching and mentoring experience
• Experience leading technology projects
• Experience managing technologists
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Practical cloud native experience
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to the immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications per business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in line with compliance standards and SLAs
• Creates a culture of opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members
• Sets and scales operating practices for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across multiple teams
• Establishes measurable expectations (throughput, defect reduction, reliability) and ensures secure handling of inputs/outputs
• Applies SDLC toolchain and AI-assisted development capabilities to drive efficiency and capacity unlock initiatives
• Prioritizes reuse of firm technology assets and governance mechanisms for safe scaling
